I was first licensed in 1958 at age 14 as Novice class (Kn7HCP) and then later that same year
upgraded to General class. I have not upgraded since.
I was very radio-active for the first 10 years and then became mostly inactive while raising
my family and earning a living.
I recently retired from IBM Corporation after 33 years as a hardware field service engineer in the
Salt Lake City Utah area and then as a hardware/software development engineer for IBM (Point of Sale)
Store Systems in Raleigh North Carolina (Research Triangle Park).
I now enjoy ham radio on the HF bands CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31.
I also enjoy talking with friends on the local VHF/UHF FM repeaters.
I am the webmaster and newsletter editor for the Ogden Amateur Radio Club (OARC).
